Research Mentorship Program
SELECTED MENTEES WILL RECEIVE ASSISTANCE WITH:
-
Finding/applying for research opportunities
-
Navigating research program applications
-
Identifying and securing a faculty mentor (if needed)
-
Planning for graduate school
-
Networking with other mentees and current UC students
Mentee Requirements
-
Current community college student

-
From a minority, underrepresented and/or low-income background
​
-
Interested in research
​
-
Interested in transferring to a UC school
​
-
Able to attend virtual meetings with a mentor at least once a month
Mentor Requirements
-
Current undergraduate student at a UC school with a minimum of 3.0 GPA

Has prior or current research experience
​
-
Able to attend one mentor training workshop
​
-
Caring, empathetic, and non-judgemental personality
​
-
Resourceful and committed to supporting mentees as they strive towards their educational goals
